Professional photographers always look forward to welcoming new DSLR cameras, as well as Nikon enthusiast. It has long been circulating in the online media about Nikon D5, which reportedly will be launched in early 2016, so it will be dealing directly with the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. You will see a tight battle Canon vs. Nikon, the Nikon D5 will definitely be competing against EOS 5D Mark IV. The upcoming Nikon D5 camera will feature a option to record 4K video @ 60 and 30 frames per second. 

Nikon D5 will feature a new 20 megapixel FX sensor, as well as 173 auto focus points. No more AF fine tuning too if AF is on the sensor. This could be the beginning of hybridization or mirrorless altogether. The aforementioned native ISO of 102,400 will reportedly be expandable up to 409,600, as well.

Nikon Rumors points toward the Expeed image processor being based on Fujitsu’s Milbeaut ISP, and Fujitsu’s recent transfer to Socionext. Nikon D5 will be great full-frame camera with better capabilities than the D4.
 
If the above specifications proved to be correct at the official launch of the Nikon D5, then you will see a massive jump in the core specification of Nikon DSLRs, Nikon not only including Advance AF module inside the camera they are also including 4K video options in upcoming flagship camera. If the D5 comes with the increasingly popular resolution of 4K, it should at least offer a 30fps speed. The Nikon D5 is rumored to features 173 AF points with a 15 fps still frame rate. Meanwhile, Samsung, Sony and Panasonic are pushing the industry to 4K faster than what Canon and Nikon appear to be ready to move.

The official announcement for the Nikon D5 FX-format DSLR camera expected on CES 2016 in early January. Body design and processor should be similar to the current  Nikon D4s. You can be sure the D5 will be more expensive than D4S, so if you want to invest in the lens to support your photographic talent, I recommend to buy Nikon D4S. You will still get the great photos, and can win a photo contest. A photo journalist must not use the latest cameras to make photos that caught the attention of the reader, as well as a professional photographer, and anyone who makes photography as a hobby.
